Hearing Care That Starts with Listening
Casco Bay Hearing was founded on a straightforward but deeply held belief, that meaningful hearing care begins long before any recommendation is made. It begins with listening to your concerns, your daily experiences, the moments where hearing plays a role in your life, and the goals that matter most to you. Our approach is personal, unhurried, and grounded in extensive clinical experience. We take the time to truly understand each patient before making any recommendations, so that every decision feels informed, comfortable, and genuinely aligned with your life, not just your test results.
Our mission is to provide thoughtful, personalized hearing care that begins with listening and supports meaningful connection in everyday life.
Patient-First Focus
Every recommendation begins with understanding you, your goals, your daily listening challenges, and what matters most in your life. Care at Casco Bay Hearing is never rushed and never one-size-fits-all.
Thoughtful Clinical Care
From comprehensive hearing evaluations to Real Ear Measurement verification at every fitting, our care is grounded in current clinical best practices — so every recommendation is precise, evidence-based, and built around your individual needs.
Ongoing Support
A successful treatment plan doesn't end at the fitting. We provide continued guidance, follow-up care, and long-term support as your hearing needs and lifestyle evolve over time.
Jacqueline Stagg, HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Jacqueline Stagg is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist with extensive clinical experience in comprehensive hearing evaluations, real ear measurement verification (REM), and individualized hearing care. She is known for her unhurried, thorough approach — taking the time to truly understand each patient's lifestyle, communication goals, and personal priorities before making any recommendations.
Jacqueline approaches hearing care as both a clinical science and an art, known for finding solutions that are as individual as the people she serves.
Jacqueline earned her bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College, completing the Communication Disorders Program and fulfilling all clinical requirements to become a licensed Audiology Assistant in 2008. She later earned her Hearing Instrument Specialist licensure and is currently licensed in Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
In addition to direct patient care, Jacqueline has trained and mentored hearing care providers across the country, collaborating with clinics nationwide to support clinical best practices, verification techniques, and patient-centered care. This broader experience brings a national perspective and a consistent commitment to current clinical standards to every patient she serves in southern Maine. Jacqueline has a particular interest in performance-focused hearing care for musicians, with an emphasis on hearing preservation, sound quality, and the unique listening demands of both professional and recreational performers.
Originally from Cape Cod, Jacqueline now lives in Freeport with her husband, Bryan, and their golden retriever, Telly. She values being part of a close-knit community and is passionate about helping her patients stay connected to the people and moments that matter most. Outside the clinic, Jacqueline enjoys spending time outdoors and pursuing a variety of creative interests.
A Commitment to Clinical Excellence
Providing exceptional hearing care requires more than licensure — it requires a genuine and ongoing commitment to learning, collaboration, and growth. At Casco Bay Hearing, that commitment is not a checkbox. It is a professional standard that shapes every patient interaction and every clinical decision.
Jacqueline holds active Hearing Instrument Specialist licensure in three states — Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont — each with its own continuing education requirements. Rather than meeting the minimum required hours across these three jurisdictions, she consistently pursues education well beyond what any single state requires, across a broad range of clinical areas including hearing aid fitting best practices, real ear measurement and verification techniques, hearing technology advancements, patient communication, and the latest research connecting hearing health to brain health and overall wellbeing.
Jacqueline is a proud member of the International Hearing Society (IHS) — a leading professional organization representing hearing healthcare professionals across all disciplines — and actively participates in the broader hearing healthcare community through local, regional, and national professional conferences and events. She has been recognized within the industry for her clinical expertise, including being selected to speak as a panel member at a national industry conference — an honor that reflects both her depth of knowledge and her standing among peers across the country.
In addition to in-person learning, Jacqueline pursues continuing education across multiple platforms — including webinars, online learning environments, and self-directed study — with educational content provided by professional organizations, industry-leading experts, scientists, and hearing healthcare professionals at the forefront of the field. This breadth of engagement ensures that the care delivered at Casco Bay Hearing reflects not just years of experience, but the current state of the science.
Hearing care is a field that evolves continuously — and the patients who walk through our door deserve a provider who evolves with it.
